The laws that govern the universe were not born out of nothing, nor are they simply inevitable: someone or something set them in place. Who that may be, I do not know. It might have no name, no face. Perhaps it was not done for a higher purpose, but out of pure play, simple curiosity: like someone launching a simulation just to see what form it will take, without worrying too much about the outcome. What to us appears as billions of years of evolution may, for this entity, correspond to only a single second. The difference in timescale makes our long history a mere blink of an eye from its perspective. And yet in this instant, infinite for us, life, consciousness, and the ability to question our origins were born. We do not know if the “cosmic game” has a purpose or if it is pure chance governed by fixed laws. But the very fact that rules exist, and that from them emerge complexity and consciousness, is enough to make us understand that chance alone is not sufficient: there was an initial choice. Life is beautiful, but it is not enough to explain itself; it gains meaning only if we accept it as part of an observed design, where value lies not only in living, but in being seen..
